Collaborate with teachers, students and families to create meaningful STEAM language and literacy development opportunities for Dual Language Learners! CEEL offers an innovative program that provides professional learning for Transitional Kindergarten and Early Childhood Education teachers to bolster language and literacy learning for DLLs, and deliver family literacy training for their families.
- Teachers learn to use Dialogic Reading for English/Dual Language Learners through participation in a customized 3-5 day professional learning series focused on oral language development, essentials of Dialogic Reading, book selection, and home-school collaboration.
- Applying skills learned in our training, teachers provide families a series of workshops to learn strategies for STEAM text-based conversations to increase language and literacy development.
