Enhance the quality of your programs and services for English Learners!
The Statewide Technical Assistance for Charter Schools (STACS) subgrant’s purpose is to provide technical assistance to schools on best practices for increasing academic achievement in the following topic areas: English Learners, Special Education, Socioeconomically Disadvantaged Students, Career & Technical Education, and Innovative Strategies. STACS is a subgrant program funded by the California Department of Education's federal Charter Schools Program grant.
This funding allows CEEL to provide STACS technical assistance at no cost to California public schools. The primary audience for technical assistance is Charter Management Organizations (CMOs), school leaders, authors, authorizers, and English Learner/Special Education coordinators, as well as non-charter public school leaders who oversee and implement English Learner programs.
We invite you to join our CEEL STACS-EL Interest Listserv, where you will receive updates, webinar invitations, resources, and opportunities to participate in statewide networks.
Upcoming Events
Our Best Practice Webinars (BPW) serve as a one-hour entry point for participants to engage in areas of interest and relevance.
Our Continuous Improvement Network (CIN) runs parallel with the BPWs and are 90 minutes in duration. CIN sessions provide an opportunity for selected school teams to engage with the topics introduced in the BPWs in greater depth, alongside a cohort of peers. The structure will enable participants to identify high-leverage problems, analyze data, develop pilots/strategies for testing, engage in collaborative problem-solving, and create shared resources. Space is limited for CIN sessions, therefore priority for CIN participation is given to high needs schools.
