Gates Foundation: Equity and High Quality Instructional Materials (2021-2023 and 2023-2025)
Utilizing design-based research and methodology to improve critical components of Professional Learning Services for the implementation of core curriculum materials and impact on Black, Latino, English Learner, and/or low-income students.
CEEL is aligned with several Gates Foundation’s priorities in California, including advancing the adoption and implementation of high-quality standards-aligned instructional materials, policies, and funding supports for English Learners and other priority populations. Funding support from the Gates Foundation allows CEEL to expand and deepen equity policy and practice for English Learners in California with a focus on supporting the statewide Gates Foundation-funded advocacy coalition and its members in creating the enabling conditions for state and local action.
