Child Welfare & Attendance Supplemental Authorization to the PPS Credential

The Child Welfare and Attendance (CWA) Supplemental Authorization authorizes LMU PPS Credential holders to work directly with pupils to improve Average Daily Attendance (ADA). These professionals focus specifically on truancy remediation and prevention in order to improve attendance culture and increase attendance and well-being for at-risk pupils. 

The LMU CWA Program is approved by the CA Commission on Teacher Credentiing (CTC), and is a 3-course, 9-unit program that may be completed by current candidates in one academic semester or over the course of two consecutive academic semesters. Candidates must be enrolled in their fieldwork placement concurrently while completing the CWAA.

Please note:

Beginning Fall 2020, this program is open only to current LMU M.A./PPS candidates and alumni who are obtaining/have obtained their P.P.S. credential in School Counseling or School Psychology from LMU within the past 5 years.
