Chris Procello, Ph.D.

Chris Procello joined the LMU School of Education as Director of Assessment and Accreditation after extensive experience making universities more impactful by coordinating and leading institution- and system-wide programs and projects towards greater quality and effectiveness. He came to LMU from the University of California Office of the President where, as an Academic Planning and Research Analyst, he coordinated the review and approval of all new UC graduate programs and colleges, managed the systemwide academic program planning process, and served at the WSCUC Accreditation Liaison Officer.

Prior to his time at the UC Office of the President, Chris worked on campuses for fourteen years in assessment, accreditation, and institutional research, including as Director of Educational Effectiveness and Associate Director of Institutional Research at Saint Mary’s College of California, Assessment Coordinator at UC Irvine and at University of San Diego, and Special Assistant to the Dean at San Diego State University. He holds a B.A. in Sociology from UC Berkeley, a Master of Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from the University of San Diego.
