Purpose
To elicit input and draw from the diverse perspectives of established and dedicated educators, advocates, and leaders who have a deeply rooted interest in the current state and future of English Learner education and policy
Goals
- Act as an advisory body and information filter for CEEL's Director, Associate Director and staff
- Provide guidance, feedback, and expertise on CEEL's work and overall structure, including processes for evaluation and outreach in an effort to ensure the highest level of impact and efficacy
- Advise the Center for Equity for English Learners on long-range plans, proposals, research and evaluation efforts, and professional development initiatives
- Identify and advocate what types of products and educational offerings should be developed and offered for the education of English Learners through the CEEL
- Participate in advisory sessions to discuss the marketing of educational offerings, materials and other CEEL resources
- Recommend and engage in activities and initiatives that further the CEEL's mission and support the work of the educational community
