Equipping Educators: Leading AI Professional Development

A conversation with Meaghan Crowley-Sullivan (iDEAL Institute)

Before AI can transform student learning, educators must first develop confidence, clarity, and a foundational understanding of the technology. In this session, iDEAL’s Curriculum and Professional Learning Developer Meaghan Crowley-Sullivan joins Fr. Nate and Lewis to explore what effective AI professional development looks like in Catholic schools. Together, they’ll discuss how to balance hands-on skill-building with mission-aligned formation, ensuring teachers feel empowered, not overwhelmed. Learn how the Higher-Powered Learning and others like the iDEAL Institute are supporting schools and (arch)dioceses through high-impact, sustainable PD.

Start the year strong with this two-day virtual training designed for new teachers joining blended learning schools.
This foundational workshop introduces educators to the key mindsets, structures, and strategies that support a successful blended learning classroom. Participants will explore what blended learning is, why it matters, and how it creates space for student ownership, differentiation, and meaningful use of instructional time.

Throughout the training, teachers will learn how to design and manage station rotation models, set up classroom systems that support self-directed learning, and create tech-integrated lessons that align with instructional goals. Sessions also introduce essential concepts like digital citizenship, copyright basics, and ethical technology use, ensuring that new teachers not only feel confident using digital tools but also understand how to support students in doing so responsibly.

This interactive training includes opportunities for collaboration, reflection, and practical planning, so participants leave with a solid foundation and a good idea on how to get started.

Perfect for any teacher new to a blended learning school, whether new to the profession or simply new to the model.
