Dr. Matt Hill is the CEO of SummitHill Advisors, which focuses on leadership development and strategic consulting for education and non-profit leaders. He most recently served as the superintendent of the Burbank Unified School District from 2015 to 2023. Previously, he was the Chief Strategy Officer for the Los Angeles Unified School District. Hill has also worked as the Executive Officer for Strategic Projects for the Oakland Unified School District.
Hill started his career at Accenture and focused on strategy and technology consulting. He holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership for Social Justice from Loyola Marymount University, an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina. He is also a graduate of the Broad Residency in Urban Education.
In addition to Dr. Hill’s service on the Board of Visitors for LMU School of Education, he previously served on boards at Leadership Burbank, GreatSchools, Children's Council of San Francisco, and the Association for Education Finance and Policy (AEFP). He is married and has two sons.
