Technology Integration Specialist Certification

The Technology Integration Specialist Certification Program, offered by the iDEAL Institute at Loyola Marymount University, prepares teacher-leaders to drive meaningful and sustainable change in K-12 schools through effective technology integration. Designed to meet the growing need for leadership in school technology initiatives, this program equips educators with the skills to seamlessly integrate technology into curriculum, instruction, and assessment while fostering a culture of shared leadership and collaboration.

Running each calendar year, this program consists of four extension courses, focusing first on best practices for technology integration and then on leadership development. Participants engage in hybrid coursework, combining asynchronous online modules with scheduled synchronous sessions, and practical application experiences.

Through this program, participants will develop expertise in integrating technology to enhance teaching and learning outcomes while building capacity for shared leadership. They will support administrators and teachers in creating long-term sustainable change, facilitate high-quality professional development and learning communities to strengthen teacher capacity and school culture and act as accessible resources for integrating emerging technologies into student learning.
