Caytlnn Gorden is a recent graduate of the University of Southern California's Higher Education Master's program, where she conducted impactful research focusing on the experiences of students of color. Raised in West Los Angeles, Caytlnn has strong ties to her community. Staying close to home for her education, she not only earned her Master’s degree from USC but also her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from California State University, Los Angeles.
During her undergraduate years, Caytlnn faced academic and social challenges, which fueled her passion for ensuring that all students feel confident, supported, and safe in their Higher Education journeys. She is committed to fostering inclusive and empowering environments, drawing from her personal experiences to make a positive difference in the lives of the students she works with.
In her free time, Caytlnn enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, often going to the beach or cozy movie nights at home. An avid animal lover, she has a puppy who she adores, and she spends time walking and playing with him. She also enjoys a range of creative hobbies, including knitting and playing sports, and recently began learning to crochet.
Caytlnn is thrilled to bring her enthusiasm and commitment to student support to her role at LMU, where she looks forward to working with and mentoring the amazing students on campus.
