Upward Bound and Upward Bound Math & Science Application

2022 Application for Program Admission

Thank you for your interest in the Upward Bound (UB) and Upward Bound Math & Science (UBMS) Programs at Loyola Marymount University. Funded by the U.S. Department of Education and supported by LMU, UB and UBMS are college-prep programs designed to help students throughout their high school career by providing educational and personal support services to increase the high school graduation and college enrollment rates of participants. The programs serve a combined total of 118 Westchester Enriched Sciences Magnet and Inglewood High School students each year, providing services at both WESM and LMU.

More than just educational programs, LMU UB and UBMS is a community! Therefore, it is important that students and families understand the programs’ time commitment (up to four years), behavior, participation, and academic performance expectations.
