Virginia Beutner worked in publishing as an editor at U.S. News & World Report and at Bantam Doubleday Dell book publishers, and as Director of Content Development at the software company Intuit. While raising her four children, she was an active school and community volunteer. She currently chairs the Advisory Board of Vision To Learn – a nonprofit which provides free eyeglasses to children across the U.S. She has taught reading to elementary-age children, and in 2022, she earned her M.A. in Reading Instruction at Loyola Marymount University’s School of Education.
