All credential programs offered within the School of Education at Loyola Marymount University are CCTC approved Professional Preparation Programs. The last full accreditation visit and renewal of accreditation was conducted March 2010. The next scheduled visit will occur in 2017.
The LMU School of Education School Psychology Program is approved by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP). This prestigious designation was renewed in spring 2008 and covers the School Psychology MA and PPS Credential.
The LMU School of Education is also proudly accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), 2010 Massachusetts Ave., NW, Suite 500, Washington, DC 20036; phone 202.466.7496. This accreditation covers both initial teacher preparation programs and advanced educator preparation programs. The last full accreditation visit and renewal of accreditation was conducted March 2010. The next scheduled visit will occur in 2017.
LMU is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), one of six regional associations that accredit public and private schools, colleges, and universities in the United States. The Senior College Commission of WASC accredits senior colleges and universities.
