Math Equity Toolkit

The CEEL team served as reviewers in the creation of "A Pathway to Equitable Math Instruction". This toolkit represents a holistic approach to teaching math, specifically designed to focus on the needs of Black, Latinx, and Multilingual students in grades 6-8. It tackles the obstacles to achieving fairness in math education and ensures that teaching aligns with essential grade-level standards. This approach provides educators with tools and resources for immediate use in curriculum planning and encourages continuous self-reflection for the development of an anti-racist approach to teaching math. The toolkit within this pathway includes various "strides," which offer educators different starting points as they progress on their personal and shared journeys towards integrating equity and anti-racism in their teaching practices.
