Christopher Patino '21 Certificate in Catholic School Administration I would recommend LMU’s Catholic school leadership program for those who are discerning or responding to the call to administration. The program provides a holistic approach where leadership is truly considered a call to serve Catholic education in a unique way. I have been impressed by the relevance of the program’s coursework to address the needs of our time and the commitment to the future of Catholic schools. Both the instructors as well as participants seem to come with a needed spirit of servant-leadership that I have found very encouraging.

My name is Kathy Hogan. I have been involved in Catholic education in many capacities as a student, parent, and teacher for over 50 years. I am currently teaching Kindergarten at Little Flower Catholic School in the Diocese of Reno, Nevada. Participating in LMU’s Certificate in Catholic School Administration program was a valuable personal and professional challenge, but even more importantly, it was a true validation of everything I believe about Catholic education. Relationships are genuinely at the heart of Catholic education and this program helped me to recognize that we are all leaders in our own unique way. This experience of sharing time with prominent leaders in Catholic education across the nation made me realize the incredible responsibility we share in shaping our future Church. I learned that as key leaders and positive role models of faith, love, and academic excellence, we don’t need to have all the answers, but just need to humbly rely on the individual talents of our team members who share that same passion for our future.
