Loyola Marymount University's PLACE Corps is in partnership with the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, providing PLACE Corps service members with full-time paid teaching positions, housing (all utilities, WiFi, etc), retreats, and activities in a cost-free, debt-free program that, after expenses, nets candidates a remaining monthly salary of $1,800 a month (pre-tax).
There are over a dozen universities across the country with similar Catholic teacher service programs, unique in their own way, but sharing in the basic pillars of professional development, spirituality, and intentional community.
These programs are affiliated through the University Consortium for Catholic Education (UCCE). This consortium seeks to establish and support a growing cadre of colleges and universities as they design and implement graduate teaching service programs.
