Special Education

• Any of the above majors serve to meet California Subject Matter Competency for a Education Specialist credential for mild to moderate support needs (special education).
• Candidates can combine Elementary w/Special Education using the Education and Learning Sciences (Liberal Studies) Major to meet subject matter competency through coursework.

Bilingual Education

• Candidates additionally proficient in Spanish, Cantonese, or Mandarin may elect to also include coursework to complete a Bilingual Authorization alongside their teaching credential.  Candidates do need to pass CSET Language Exam in the applicable language.
