Applications are submitted electronically.

In our electronic application system, you will be asked for the following:

  • Official transcripts (one set) from all colleges and universities you have attended (or are still attending).
  • Professional resume or curriculum vita.
  • Three letters of recommendation
    • You are required to provide the name, title, organization, and email address of three professionals who will provide a recommendation for you. Each of them will receive a private link via email to upload their recommendation directly to LMU. Ideally, at least one of your letter writers is a school psychologist, or a professional who’s very familiar with school psychology practices and can speak to your qualifications for this role.
  • Personal Statement of Intent (2-4 pages, double-spaced) that addresses the below:
    • Why you want to be a school psychologist and what draws you to this profession
    • What you have learned from your volunteer/work experience with school-aged children, including those who have diverse backgrounds and/or who have exceptional needs
    • Aspects of your own background and lived experience that will contribute to the strengths of a diverse cohort learning community
    • What makes the LMU School Psychology Program a good fit for you

The priority deadline for applications is the first Friday of February. Group interviews for qualified applicants are held in early March; admission decisions are made in late March; and classes begin in late June or early July each year. There are also a few program requirements you must complete after you're admitted.
