Educational Studies
LMU's innovative M.A. in Educational Studies program offers you the opportunity to design a tailored, personalized M.A. curriculum that reflects your personal and professional goals. In this program, you take 30 units of coursework: 4 core courses (12 units), 5 elective courses (15 units) selected in consultation with your academic advisor, and a final capstone project course (3 units). Because you can choose your electives from any of the School of Education's available courses, this program offers you maximum flexibility in designing your study plan, including, for eligible educators, completing an Bilingual Authorization for your California Teaching Credential.
This program is not combined with a full California teaching credential program and is intended as a flexible master's degree for candidates that wish to gain more theory and experience in the field of education.
