Dr. Maia Hoskin is an experienced school and mental health counselor and academic who is passionate about training multiculturally conscious counselors. Her scholarship explores how popular culture, social media, and mediated images of people of color impact various mental health challenges among minoritized persons and perpetuate systemic anti-Black racism. She is an assistant professor in SOE's Department of Specialized Programs in Professional Psychology.
