Kappa Delta Pi is an international honor society in Education, and is comprised of 582 chapters and more than 45,000 members around the world. LMU's Chi Lambda Chapter follows KDP. Established to foster excellence in education and promote fellowship among those dedicated to teaching as well as to sustain an honored community of diverse educators by promoting excellence and advancing scholarship, leadership and service, the name is derived from Greek words representing "knowledge, duty, and power. There is a one-time initiation fee for new members. There will be annual renewal fees for members choosing to continue their membership with the organization. Fees must be paid either with a check or money order made payable to Kappa Delta Pi.
