Kappa Delta Pi is an international honor society in Education, and is comprised of 582 chapters and more than 45,000 members around the world. LMU's Chi Lambda Chapter follows KDP. Established to foster excellence in education and promote fellowship among those dedicated to teaching as well as to sustain an honored community of diverse educators by promoting excellence and advancing scholarship, leadership and service, the name is derived from Greek words representing "knowledge, duty, and power. Joining the SOE, Chi Lambda Chapter of KDP is possible through a nomination process. Students meeting the criteria for nomination will be notified via their Lion accounts. The nomination will include application requirements, one-time required initiation fees, application deadline and additional information. Nominees are expected to submit all required materials, including fees, by the listed deadline.
