Designed by LMU SOE alumni, the EdTech Mini-Conference is open to all students, alumni, and friends of the LMU School of Education. Attendees will discuss the impact of technology in education and explore innovative uses of technology through the lens of classroom teachers, education support services personnel, as well as site and system wide administrators.
The mini-conference will also provide attendees with the opportunity to connect with leaders in the EdTech industry including Apple, Best Buy Education, Google for Education and the LMU iDeal Institute, and network among one another.
Student fee: $15
Alumni Early Registration fee: $15 (Extended till January 12, 2018)
Alumni & General Registration fee: $25 (beginning January 13, 2018)
Interested in earning Continuing Education Units?
Through the mini-conference you can earn 5 CEUs for a cost of $35.
Registration is required on or before January 19.

1. Transform Your Classroom with G Suite for Education by Google: In this workshop, Google Certified Trainers and Innovators will help you integrate G Suite in your classroom. Learn how to manage your classroom, go paperless with assignments, and deliver formative assessments using a broad range of digital tools. Products featured included Google Classroom, Google Docs, Forms, Sites, and more. Also learn about some of the many technology PD opportunities offered by Google to enhance your practice.
2a. Reaching all Learners by Apple Education: Students come to school with a varying array of abilities. Teachers are exploring new ways to not only support these learners, but to also personalize every student’s learning experience. At Apple, we believe that technology should be accessible to everyone. Join us at this workshop to learn about tools and resources from Apple that allow all students to explore, communicate, and create in new and powerful ways.
2b. Why Mobility Matters by Apple Education: Digital learning experiences and mobile devices are changing the education landscape. At this workshop, we’ll discuss why leading your organization through this transition to create new learning and teaching opportunities is vital to student learning in the 21st century.
3. A Blended Learning Experience by the LMU iDEAL Institute: Join LMU’s Innovation in Digital Education and Leadership (iDEAL) Institute as they guide you through the fundamentals of Blended Learning. Experience the Blended Learning Station Rotation to develop a better understanding of how and why to bring this powerful 21st century instructional model into your own classroom and schools.
