ADOS Workshop
Presented by Western Psychological Services
Sponsored by the School Psychology Program at Loyola Marymount University
The Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) has become the standard instrument for assessing Autism and PDD across age, developmental level and language skills. Loyola Marymount University is offering a 2-day workshop presented by Western Psychological Services (WPS) where you will learn how to use the ADOS in clinical practice to assess and diagnose Autism. WPS’s expertly trained staff will describe the ADOS and demonstrate administration and scoring, operationalizing DSM-IV/ICD-10 diagnostic criteria for Autism and Pervasive Developmental Disorders not Otherwise Specified. Instructional methods include lecture, live demonstration of administration and scoring, videotaped administration and discussion. Participants have the opportunity to practice scoring while observing the instructor administer the ADOS to a child. At the end of the training you will receive a certificate of completion (equivalent to 12 CE credits) which will allow you to conduct the ADOS in your school/clinical setting.
