2010-11 School of Education Research Grant and Fellowship Recipients

  • Marta Baltodano, Ph.D., Associate Professor, is awarded a fellowship to complete an invited book on the commodification of teacher preparation programs
  • Franca Dell'Olio, Ed.D., Assistant Professor, is awarded a research grant entitled A Six-county Collaborative to Generate Foundational Evidence for Powerful and Transformative Advocacy-oriented Leadership for English Learners. 
  • Emily Fisher, Ph.D., Assistant Professor, is awarded a research grant entitled Creating Diverse and Responsive Classrooms for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning Students.
  • Karen Komosa Hawkins, Ph.D., Assistant Professor, is awarded a research grant entitled Implementing a School-based Mentoring Program:  Lessons Learned.
  • Yvette Lapayese, Ph.D., Associate Professor, is awarded a research grant entitled Race, Power, and Teach for America:  A New Conversation with Teachers of Color.
  • Francisco Ramos, Ph.D., Associate Professor, is awarded a research grant entitled Examining the Impact of De Facto Bilingual Education on the English Language Acquisition Process of Three Vocal Critics of Bilingual Education Programs.
