The Mathematics Leadership Corps (MLC) is an intersectoral partnership comprised of Loyola Marymount University's (LMU) School of Education, K-12 school districts, various philanthropic and operating foundations, as well as non-profits.
Through MLC, a team of LMU faculty and staff collaborate with school districts to strengthen the school district system's problem solving capacity, individual and collective leadership capacity, and K-12 student-led learning in mathematics.
LMU's School of Education is an important component of MLC's partnership. Specifically, MLC leverages LMU's robust clinical education programs to provide professional opportunities to our school district partners. MLC also bridges academic theory with practice in the field to inform program initiatives.
