The Office of Learning and Leadership will coordinate all operational and instructional services for the FOS schools and will serve as a liaison between Loyola Marymount University and the Los Angeles Unified School District. Staff members respond to parent telephone calls, facilitate operational support, schedule hiring panels, facilitate transition team meetings (now Governance Council meetings – working with the newly elected council members) and provide supervision and unique learning opportunities for FOS principals and teachers.

The Director of Learning and Leadership, Stephen Rochelle, provides management and oversight of the five schools with the Family of Schools that operate as iDesign schools – Westchester High School, Orville Wright Middle School, Cowan Elementary School, Kentwood Elementary School and Westport Heights Elementary School. The principals of these schools report to Mr. Rochelle.
