David Kukla

David Kukla has been teaching chemistry and integrated science at North Hollywood High School for 26 years. He taught various science courses including college level chemistry in England. He is a principal author of a nationally recognized high school chemistry textbook. He designed a chemistry course, approved by the University of California that focuses on chemical inquiry. He administered the science program for over fifty thousand students as a science specialist in Los Angeles Unified School District. He is currently teaching the science methodology course for secondary teachers at Loyola Marymount University. He is also a science consultant for Los Angeles Unified School District. He led a professional development team in Prince George’s County, Maryland, Baltimore City Public Schools and in Jefferson County Public Schools in Kentucky. As a member of the CMAST staff at Loyola Marymount University, he coached the science teachers at Animo Leadership High School. He has a master’s degree in Educational Administration from the University of Minnesota.
