Alliance for College-Ready Public Schools Results
MAST was implemented in the Alliance schools in 2007. After one year of MAST implementation, the average CST scores for the Alliance schools in mathematics sharply increased by 18%, bringing the Alliance schools ahead of the Los Angeles Unified School District’s average CST scores. Two years after MAST was first implemented in the Alliance schools, the average CST scores in mathematics have increased by 16%, compared to a 5% increase in LAUSD and only a 3% increase in California.

In 2007, just 12.1% of students in the Alliance schools scored Proficient or Advanced on the CST in mathematics. Two years later, after implementation of the MAST program, 26.4% of students in the Alliance schools scored Proficient or Advanced on the CST in mathematics. The most dramatic shift in scores occurred from 2007 to 2008, the first year after MAST was implemented, as average Proficient and Advanced scores increased by 7.8%. Animo Leadership Biology Results

Animo Leadership biology teachers began their partnership with MAST in 2004. Over the past five years the average CST scores in biology have increased significantly. Between 2004 and 2009, the average Proficient and Advanced scores more than quadrupled while the average Below Basic or Far Below Basic scores decreased by 43%. Click
