Candidates who have a personal and/or professional interest in reading and literacy, but who do not hold a California single or multiple subject credential, are welcome to apply to the program, but do not receive the Added Authorization upon completion.

For candidates wishing to combine the Reading and Literacy authorization coursework with a Master of Arts degree, we invite you to explore the M.A. in Educational Studies, a program with a high degree of flexibility in its curriculum.
